@only1lozano i'm not expert of Alaia at all but i think we had a 7' board that day. i think you are right, 5'8" seems small. we felt like the 7' board wasn't floating us enough trying for the first time.
you might want to talk to someone at a shop who carries Alaia board since they should have better idea of what size board might be good for you.

This guy gave me his alaia the other day bcs he owed me a board its 5'8 and im 5'9 WAY too small right? i couldn't even get that thing to paddel and stay underneath me. What's a recommended size for 5'9 170?

I'm glassing mine and hope to actually surf it this weekend. The only bad thing was that its 5'11 and im 5'9 but I made it a bit wide to compensate for the lack of length.

@coolness312 like my reply to jordyboy056, everyone out there were all friends and were telling the kids to go since we all wanted to see how these kids do on an alaia board for the first time. everyone was having a great time!
