@Motor Expo 2008 - Peugeot Spider 207 / 308

Peugeot in Thailand now has been separated from Yontrakit (now Yontrakit Corporation). Even the concept of presentation to the expo isn't coherence with expo's concept of this year anymore, but of course still maintain about unique French performance by the Peugeot lion; on selling premium class vehicles for few Thais to buy.

Now let's see highlights from this brand. There are 2's if not to count others from last year and past years.

Spider 207, a new ferocious 2-seater sportscar in racing car form which already had its basis from 20Cup concept. For higher level of intense and genuine driving pleasure.
Featuring exterior body and roll chassis as lightweight carbon-fibre; but separated as 3 chassis parts to be easier for whenever maintenance time. EP6-DTS 1.6 16-Valve 175PS via Twin-scroll TurboCharger and Bosch ECU. Also installed black box to keep some datas of usage as secret; and to evaluate them for further usage of course. Its transmission is Sadev 6-speed Dog Ring sequential transmission; installed horizontal of vehicle's forward direction. Double wishbone suspension and new sprung reducer.

And 308, Peugeot's latest 3-car as we all know. One sleek yet modernized hatch. Also landed here unexpectedly. The price is around 2.5 million THB. Few Thais are driven especialy the press (they took first drive in France) and very first owner. As shown is petrol 1.6 140PS via fuel injection set by Bosch, AL4 4AT, 4-wheel Independent suspension, 8 sensors for both front and back sides. Also 8 airbags.

Peugeot Thailand today after separated from Yontrakit is still maintained same company: European Automobiles Co.,Ltd. Headed by 2 members of Leenutapong family: Polkrit and Pasupong. Under the new organization structure. We should take sometime to watch movement to this player of car selling in Thailand from now.
