PHIL KEAGGY AND FRIENDS - Joe Vitale - Fantasy Jam

Phil Keaggy at The BLUE OLIVE Jazz Club in Canton, Ohio on Feb. 26, 2009. Phil was scheduled to do a solo show, but treated the audience to an electric set with friends Daniel Pecchio and John Sferra of his band GLASS HARP. In addition, Canton residents Joe Vitale and Joe Vitale, Jr. joined him onstage! The audience was very receptive the wonderful spontaneity of what went down! There was no rehearsal, so bits were a bit loose, but blazing! Joe Sr., after finishing a tour last year with Stephen Stills, settled in for the release of his new book BACKSTAGE PASS and his new cd SPEAKING IN DRUMS. (Hear songs from the cd at his MY SPACE page - search JOE VITALE). Phil, Daniel and John have been close friends of Joe's since the early 70's when Joe's manager Chip Killinger tried to recruit Phil for Joe's band.. (Chip ended up managing GLASS HARP, and Joe started working with Joe Walsh.) It was a great night last night, with old friends sharing some music and old stories!
