Mark Chang (me) playing a funky acid jazz disco pop rock 'n roll version of the old familiar tune on a Kawai acoustic grand piano. I don't know how I would describe this beat actually, but I think it's kind of a fun and danceable rhythm. I've never played this arrangement for an audience, and never recorded it either except for this rare video. This is the debut on YouTube! Enjoy. Recorded at Batchelor Pad Heaven in Davis, CA way back in the spring of 1998. Please use this arragement only with permission. For those who are wondering, I am not a pro piano player- it's just one of many hobbies. Check my channel often to see more videos from my happier days as I find time to upload them.

  • Good rythym with the left hand. Good melody with the right hand. Together you've got good music with a pleasing sound. Thanks for posting this, and play more!

  • Whats with the 2 reel recorder in the background? U RECORDS MY CALLS?

  • Being a MetalHead-the hair was impressive,yet your zest(and creativeness) is truely entertaining-your a real freak

  • it seems to come so natural for you mark any tips

  • dude you completely totally funktastically raggily rock. Yes even the Hair rocks. And the Stare. Missed the zombie intro though.....that should be your thing.

  • こわい。。

  • Nice touch: especially in giving the back beat its own identity by playing softer and releasing the pedal at the precise moment.

Now this is music. Like a one man radio. Hats off to ya!

But ya, I agree the begining was a bit creepy.

  • At first I thought you were creepy with the camera stare, but I gave it a chance and I really enjoyed it! Thanks for sharing!!

  • That's not ragtime...
