  • THE ONE!

  • @applepiebetty no it wouldn't and to quote a top tune from this generation "your so nieve"

  • In Asian countries "opium" was the drug, here in the US it was Weed and LSD. Hash, and more came in later 60s. Families have been devastated, separated, and killed over drugs. Crime is now 78% drug related. And those same people are on the road driving. Children are being abused and killed by parents who are hearing voices, and blowing up homes with chemicals in the air. Crazy things are being put into drugs. Any sane person knows "this has no place in a productive life."

  • @SuperSimonuk I got my facts from life. I was here before Janis, and know what drugs did to her in the 60s. She had to have shots in her throat before singing. Drugs killed her and allot of other great singers from that time & since. Yes there were drugs before the 60s, but they were prevalent in the 60s, there was civil unrest and everyone was checking out. VietNam was the main threat to us baby boomers. I was in Haight Ashbury, drugs are much less pure today, as is just about everything.

  • @applepiebetty i dont know where you get your facts from, but rightly or wrongly, drugs have always been around, Janis Joplin herself was a heroin addict. The reason we have problems with drugs is prohibition...legalise all drugs and you remove the "drug problem" I have never done heroin, but I love coke, and hate the fact that people demonise it so much

  • tanks for the 60s they always go strong

  • I miss the love of the 60s. You could never redo "Woodstock." Gangs would come in killing and all the other lawlessness of hate and discontent would over run the love and unity of those times. Today's world was sprung from the 60s, but the drugs got more violent, costly and invasive... Now we have three generations since then, just trying to make it into parenthood, without being washed up in their own childhood. If we could have seen into today, would it have been different then?

  • its great song

  • @SeattleLA You are most welcome. This band was then called the Cozmic Blues Band.
