@RealVibes29 You can thank Dale Earnhardt for that line rule. He was notorious for blocking people all the way down to the grass. Kyle Petty showed him he wasn't going to take any shit from his blocking at Charlotte in an All-Star race and dumped him going into turn 3.

Besides, below the yellow or white line, whatever color it may be for that track isn't the racing surface. It's the apron. Racing on the apron creates a danger for those coming in to and leaving the pits.

ive been goin to Dega for 13 years. This was the best race ive ever seen. Ever. And just bc im a mark martin fan. Watch it again. @chillyfreakinwilly please watch this again. Harvick had more than enough room to make the pass, which he did. After the move was made, McMurray moved down to side draft Harvick. @ 2:09, Harvick became the leader, meaning he can't advance anymore positions. Harvick rode on top of the line never actually going below it before the start/finish line. Find me footage showing Harvick clearly going below the line and I'll change my opinion. But Harvick won fair and square.
