From Autumnal to Vernal Equinox, this is the Death In June Winter tree. Stripped bare, but for thirteen of its branches. But they are as strong as ever, and with thirteen glasses and one last toast, this new album captures the true essence of Death In June, again setting new standards in its self-created genre. Let the Blackbirds kiss you and may The Rule Of Thirds dictate your life.

  • i don't pretend to know what all the lyrics mean. I DO know art reveals and comes clear in time. Douglas P. writes such poetry.

  • the most melancholic and pessimistic album by death in june - in my opinion. when I first heared it, I was dissapointed by the minimalistic music, but hearing it more often, I became familiar with it and even haunted by. the lyrics are (as always) difficult to understand for "outsiders" - but when thinking about them you will find at every hearing (or reading) something new - also when it has nothing to do with what the author probably meant at first - but it keeps you thinking....

  • I am captivated still by this record.

  • Death In June: three decades of great poetry and great music. A true artist. Pure Art.

  • great song

  • I had the same initial reaction. I have to say that deep down I still wish that TROTT was as well produced as "But What Ends..." or "Rose Clouds..", But lyrically I think it's some of the best DI6 material out there, and that's saying a lot.

  • hä?

  • Lovely'n'nice Ode! T.R.O.T. is great! Much better than "Alarm Agents", and in tradition with "All pigs..." & "Roseclouds Of..."

  • 'I had lost what you had found, the guilt that Christ came and bound." Great.

  • i love the rules of thirds!

  • The Rule of Thirds.
