STORY BEHIND THE MuSIC-

I was asked by SparkleyEdward ( an awesome AMV maker on YT) to put a song to and sing the sorrowful lullaby from the triology " The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins.

When this request was first given, I hesitated. I wasn't in the best of my composition moods and I was bent on declining. However, after reading the words a tune started to form instantly. And is what you now hear!

Perhaps the death of my own brother also made me lean toward the project, since anything related to loss, is something I instantly freeze for thought.

In any case. I do hope you like this.

MELODY EXPLANATION (FOR HUNGER GAME FANS ESPECIALLY)

I didn't want to add too many harmonies everywhere. And I also wanted it a bit bare, since this is something Katniss is supposed to be singing for Rue on the spot. ( Yes, I did some research! LOL)

You can divide the song in 3 parts.

PART 1 is as bare as it gets. Katniss singing for Rue.

PART 2 is a transition I added, mixing feelings of sorrow and happiness for the memories between the 2 of some sorts. It is also a transition to the 3rd part. A transfer from just one person singing the lullaby because....

PART 3 is supposed to be more full to signify when more people started singing that same lullaby when they learned of Rue's death. ( Yeah, my reading got that far! lol)

Hope you didn't mind the addition/ leaving out of a few words here and there to flow the song better, HG fans!

For the lyrics, I didnt think to post them because they're from the book so I assumed everyone knows it x-D but shall post them.

About itunes, I'd love to put it there but not sure if I'm allowed since the lyrics are from the creator's book, so the only thing I DO own is the music, but not the words. Also, I don't know how to do that x-D But if the copyright's settled, then I'd love to put it there!
