Originally written and performed by Coldplay.
I saw in a recent interview that Chris Martin felt "Yellow" was still one of the best Coldplay songs they've released. Not that Coldplay has a huge catalog of amazing songs, but they really do know how to capture a specific emotion or moment and expound on it. I wish I could do that. I'm working on a song now that has shades of that but still needs a little fine tuning. It's a great lesson to learn to write in emotion and not in thought for me.
This song also happens to be one of my favorite Coldplay songs. I pretty much stole this version from the Coldplay Live DVD from 2003. It's my favorite performance from that DVD. But I think my absolute favorite Coldplay song is "Politik" because of the line, "Give me love over this".
Give me love over all of this.

@Teddius1138 Thanks for your comment and opinion! Actually, I chose to play the song with the muting because it offers more dimension and contrast to it on just acoustic guitar. Having the chords ring out all the time would be taxing on the ears, IMO. My style of playing is rhythmic so it keeps with some of the other songs I've posted. And I didn't want it to sound too much like the original.
Thanks again!

Hey man, you've got potential. That wasn't that bad. If i could offer the advice, with songs like this, the chords are sweet. let them sound. try not to mute the strings too much. Just let the music flow. That was good.
