yep, palmas for sure, I have one that looks like it is either a P. palmas polli, or P.p. butterkoferi, or a mix between, it has beautiful patterns. looks like a hylian loach for other Zelda fans

mines named nessie too! (senegal though) interesting fish . it just kills stuff for the hell of it. it killed three fish in one day once. one had its head ripped off, another was missing its guts, and the other one was almost in two pieces. didnt even eat any of it. found the ones head in the filter. (minnows, i was trying to feed it) still have him and hes about a foot long. (yes im sure its a senegal)

my friends had 1 since it was a fry, it is now huge and will take down other fish savagely he got it in with a spotted snakehead , which is particularly nasty

the thing i like about bichirs is their epic innocent face and their super cute fins :D

The tank is 450 x 450 x 1200 mm (around 240 litres).

That is NOT a Polypterus Senegalus, it's a Polypterus Ornatipinnis.
