Wow! @ 50something and still looking super hot!! Siouxsie is still the one gal that can make a gay boy like me go the other way. It bums me out that people are criticizing her voice - of course you're going to loose vocal capacity as you get older, but she still sounds great!

The sioux woman still looks cool, but her voice is shot. And the music just isn't as great as it used to be :( It happens to the best of them unfortunately) Still love her forever.

@nobbilc I couldn't give you an exact explanation, but I hear that nicotine reduces inflammation of the stomach lining.
I think your description is pretty accurate in regards to her voice though. She's a self-taught singer and probably had "horrible" technique which created an amazing sound, but keeping that up for years had to be very damaging.

@EmilieSagae What ?? Smoking's a treatment ? That I doubt ! It might stop you from eating as much, so that Colitis doesn't occur as virulently...ie: You smoke instead of eat, and when you quit-you eat more to compensate. Chances are, she had throat problems from not singing "correctly" and damaging her voice. Whaddaya reckon ??
