Lucy Vodden 1963 - 2009.

Lucy Vodden was a classmate of Julian Lennon, who came home from school one day carrying a drawing (video intro) of his 4-year-old classmate. "That's Lucy in the sky with diamonds," he told his father.

Thank you for putting this video up. I can't tell you how frustrating it is to hear people still arguing that this song is about LSD. Lucy was a real person who was taken away too soon. RIP Lucy.

@WeWillNotRockYou1 She was one of Julian Lennon's playmates when he was about 4 years old. He drew a picture at the playgroup which he called "Lucy in the sky with diamonds" and gave it to his dad, John, when he arrived to pick him up late afternoon. She has very sadly just died of a rare disease, at the tender age of 46 ? So now they are together once more, but this time they really are in the sky, we hope.
