Dear Sister Howell, I am so pleased that you are able to draw comfort for your loss from being married for time and all eternity in the Holy Temple, knowing that your separation in only temporary. You have my sympathy in your loss. But I testify that you will be with Brady again for time and all eternity.

Pure mythology and superstition.

I love this video so much! I remember bawling my eyes out the first time I saw it at the visitor center across from the temple in Nauvoo. Thanks for posting so I can watch it again. I love feeling the spirit like this <3

Hi Myway43, Baptism and The Gift of the Holy Ghost FOR THE LIVING, takes place in our Meetinghouses or chapels. FOR THE DEAD, MEANING those who died without having the chance of knowing and accepting the principles and ordinances of THE GOSPEL while on earth, we go to the Temple and do it for them, using our Genealogy records. It will depend on their acceptance when they know and understand its importance when they come to learn about it in the Spiritual World.

Hi, I am curious. Are all baptisms, blessings, recieving of the holy spirit, all have to be done in the Temple? or can they be performed at your stake or ward?

Baptisms and confirmations (receiving of the Holy Ghost) are typically done at the stake center. When there is not a baptismal font nearby, a baptism can be done in a river, ocean, etc. which is a neat experience as well. Many blessings can be given anywhere--in the church, in a home, etc.
Ordinances that are performed by proxy, on behalf of those who have died without receiving the fullness of truth, are done in the temple. Good question.
