when you were designating the name of the zip file and the file that you wanted to zip, I saw that you had the prefix "./" . I was curious if that was necessary so I tried it without that prefix and it still worked.
So my question is, is using "./" just a good habit to get into because it will be useful later, or does it actually make a difference in this situation? Thanks.

@originalfunkman Generally you won't even need to type "./" at all. I just got into the habit of it because generally I feel more comfortable typing a more specific path, although ultimately it does not matter for 99% of commands. So, you don't need to type "./", and you probably shouldn't, as it is just redundant.

@thegabytzu97 In this video I was using iShowU. At this point I would suggest that you use ScreenFlow or QuickTime.

Okay i just watched the first 20 seconds on your 5 first lessons and the only thing I can say that this was the most unnecessary lesson I ever seen... You teach us how to move a file, how to create a text document and how to zip some files...
But why do anyone need to know how to do that with the Terminal :P
All of those things is 2 mouse-clicks away!
Btw this wasn't meant to offend you.

@kloi19123pwn This is mainly for use over FTP connections, SSH sessions, and for writing shell scripts. If you are someone who just wants to use the Mac OS X GUI and never has to use a terminal environment, obviously there is no reason why you have to know any of this. It just so happens that you have to understand the basics in order to be able to do more useful things from terminal later on.
