Crossing Border is the festival where literature, music, film and the visual arts combine to take central stage. 18 - 21 November 2009, writers, poets, musicians, filmmakers and artists will reign over The Hague's cultural centre.
Since Crossing Border's inception it has sought to find a unique combination of the spoken word with music, film and visual art.

To complete this info the LYRICS from REX'S BLUES:
(by Townes van Zandt)

Ride the blue wind high and free
she'll lead you down through misery
leave you low, come time to go
alone and low as low can be

If I had a nickel I'd find a game
If I won a dollar I'd make it rain
If it rained an ocean I'd drink it dry
and lay me down dissatisfied

Legs to walk and thoughts to fly
eyes to laugh and lips to cry
a restless tongue to classify
all born to grow and grown to die

So tell my baby I said so long
tell my mother I did no wrong
tell my brother to watch his own
and tell my friends to mourn me none

I'm chained upon the face of time
feelin' full of foolish rhyme
there ain't no dark till something shines
I'm bound to leave this dark behind

Ride the blue wind high and free
she'll lead you down through misery
leave you low, come time to go
alone and low as low can be

  • @mrmah85 Yes, that's what happens when you stop doing drugs every day, you gain some weight.

  • Okay, I love Steve Earle's music, past and present. But he really needs to loose all that weight. He was able to do sometime between 2002-2004. I know he probably had to put the weight back on for his character in The Wire and he finally quit smoking (thank God), but I really think Steve would be a lot better-off if he was once-again able to shed the pounds. He's still in his 50s, so he can still do it.

Keep on rockin' Steve, but please loose the weight as well!
