i agree with this being a great tribute. coldplay do covers/tributes for a few songs. i think this rendition shows how well written the BBs words truly are. i like it and wish id been there!

I'm not into Coldplay at all, but to shit on this is just a really douchey thing to do. From the way he plays this it's very clear that he knows what he's doing. This guy somehow managed to put his own spin on a track that I've heard covered about 50 times without the covering band not changing a single thing about the song -- assuring that it just comes out like a quirky little tribute but this one is the real tribute.

I'm not even a fan of Coldplay, but how is this a douchey thing for them to do? He's not a rapper. Jay-Z came out and rapped, because that's what he does, but this is what Coldplay does, and I think it was pretty awesome of them to represent a legendary group like the Beasties in a situation like this. Good on them.
