November 25, 2007 -- A smoky fire swept through a five-story Upper East Side building yesterday, forcing the evacuation of 25 tenants and injuring six firefighters, authorities said.

  • @PATRICK141995 if you look closely, you can see as they start walking towards the building, a hose is off to the side, as jafrommeyer said, trucks take the closest part.

    You can add on to hose, you cant add on to ladders :)

  • does fdny ride 6 to a truck or how many. my local dept rides 3 plus 1 paramedic

  • @PATRICK141995 you just can't see the engine because we always give the front of the building to the ladders so they can make grabs from windows and access the roof... usually the engine goes to the hydrant and we stretch line...

  • 3 or 4 Ladders and no Engine???
