The lack of airplay this group got was almost criminal. I would dearly love to have a complete concert by them... The greatest group that no one has heard of.

Jeff Mutt Lange produced, these dudes were well ahead of their time. Between the smart song writing and spot-on mix of feel-good freedom and melancholy, they should have been recognized a bit more than they were. This cut Affection Rejected, I don't remember your name, and Another star (just an amazing and overlooked effort), represent pieces that should have put these cats well beyond what the Knack and others of the period were doing.

I saw The Records live October 79 supporting the Stiff Tour - they were playing at the Assembly Rooms, Wick, Scotland. Absolutely fell in love with them, especially Phil - wow, hard to believe it's 30 years ago. Am getting old!

I love this band - never knew why they couldn't maintain their momentum - they really wrote some perfect pop songs and sung so well together too! Saw Hu Gower once long time ago, he was great but this lineup is the BEST!. I am so happy to see them on YT!, Music On Both Sides was one of the best pop rock albums of any that era hands down. Thanks for posting this!!
it is great to be able to hear these guys on You Tube. I have never met anyone of recent who eveh knows about this band. If anyone can post any more of their songs from this ablum, please do so!!
