So this weekend I got a chance to be homeless for 48 hours and be guided around by my street shepard Alan Graham of Mobile Loaves and Fishes. The only piece of tech I tool along was my flip camera. Here is what I recorded. The video is rough and raw and their is no soundtrack. But I think that's kinda the point of filming on the streets.

your experience is nothing like being homeless, don't assume what's it like for people who experience homelessness. You always knew that you would have a roof but those who are homeless do not. That being said, thank you for bringing attention to this issue.

I have been homeless and never panhandled I begged for work never money and I didnt take money unless they allowed me to work. I washed cars homes cleaned shops some offered me a place to set camp when I got a perm job I even was allowed to shower in their home they trusted me cause they knew I didn't want something for nothing. I had a home in Ms but there was no work I was HL in Atlanta the people that helped me were bikers hard core and they were down to earth people the heathens were nicest.

The world's live music capital looks pretty sad from the homeless point of view. Something to think about.

meatball. sell ur home and all ur pssessions. then live on the street for real. Much different when you know you have a place to go when the "experiment" is done.

I plan to move to Austin to be homeless. Are the police ok with homeless people having guns? I'll get a conceal and carry if necessary. Anything else?

That was really fucking stupid..... I used to be a street kid in Austin, you didnt even talk to any real homeless people and... you didnt even try the drag. Being homeless in austin isnt that fucking bad... we all know when we strap on a back pack we are looked at diffently. And why no wallet.. you need your fucking ID gay wad. Wow you slept outside!!! . And you didnt even ask for money right. Next time just pay 50 bucks to follow a street kid around. Atleast you would get an idea.
