Before there was MYSTERY! on PBS, There was Armchair Thriller in UK. I wasn't born yet at that time. I'm from Middletown,Connecticut,USA & when I was 8 years old my late Grandmum gotten me into British Murder Mysteries. I still love a good British Murder Mystery. Both "Quiet As A Nun" & "The Limbo Connection" we're shown on MYSTERY! on PBS in USA in early 1980's at time legendary actor Vincent Price was host.

This trailer is the single most terrifying thing that I remember from my childhood. I remember being in great discomfort watching it.

The thing I remember is after seeing the opening credits my dad would say; "Right son its time for your bedtime. You have school tomorrow".Sleep!!? How can I sleep after seeing that face??!!I swear he did that on purpose!! That is still,to this day,one of THE scariest opening credits for a show I've seen :+O

Yes this PETRIFIED me as a child. I'm 35 now and it still made me shudder. That scream. That face. My God.

Nowadays this slot is probably occupied by Coronation St or Emmerdale. This is all ITV seem to churn out in the mid evening slot now, boring soaps for boring women with no imagination.
I remember watching this on ATV. There was a lot of mad/creepy telly on in those days. Today's television is boring by comparison
