Sam Logan, publisher of the Michigan Chronicle, of the nation's largest and oldest African American newspapers. For nearly 40 years he championed the interests of Detroit's African American community. He start at the Chronicle in 1961, doing everything from delivering newspapers to becoming publisher during 1980s. Sam was a giant in the community.
