Ron and Hermione have been through everything together, even fighting together in the current war of the Wizarding World. Even though they know each other feelings, Ron is holding them back from being together.
Ron thinks that he is not good enough for Hermione and is unsure if he can be the confident grown-up man she needs. Everyone keeps telling Ron that if he doesn't do something he'll miss out on something good.
Even while fighting in the war Hermione is not going to give up on Ron and will continuously try to convince him that no matter what she will love him and she will always be by his side.
