It's the French national anthem. It's a movie bio, Edit Piaf sang that song on the streets of Paris when she was a child and living in poverty. Her dad was actually much shorter than that, but then, this is a movie.

@Biloutemag I agree with you, and if we hear all anthems carefuly, we'll understand that our anthems tell the story of our people and our contry. The french anthem is great, I really love it, but, I prefer the portuguese (european). it's so deep...

There is a wonderful French movie called La Marseillaise (1938) by Jean Renoir. It captures and conveys the sense of the French revolution and the storming of the Bastille.
