  • The gums bleed because he has gingivitis. Swollen gums is the body's reaction to a foreign substance such as bacterial plaque, tatar above and below the gumline. Once you have a professional cleaning done and you faithfully and properly clean the dog's teeth everyday, then the bleeding will stop. This is the same a humans...

  • No. Not really. You need to brush both sides. I've cleaned enough dog's teeth to see that there are plenty of build up especially on the lingual (behind) the K-9,the molars and even the lower anteriors. If you don't, the tartar can build up below the gumline and have severe periodontal problems. Try your best to clean at an angle like humans do to get under the gums as well.
