From 1961, Columbia Records. This song was written by Claude and Tillman Franks for 20th Century Fox to be used in a John Wayne movie of the same title. It didn't however get used in the movie, but was played during the previews in theaters.

  • @samcashmooney

Frequently copies of it will turn up on eBay.

  • Can you download the flip side. "I can't get over"

I have the 45 but it's real scratchy.

    Thanks

  • This is a great patriotic song.

  • Really like this!

  • hi I had the same LP and unfortunely have'nt been able to get another copy. i'd also be very interested in getting a copy. just love the album

  • In the early 60's an album of Claude King was released in Australia. it had Would you care; Little Bitty Heart; Pistol Packing momma; I backed out; Give me your love and a few others including his big hits. Lost the vinyl many years ago - has anyone heard these songs? They were very good but now unobtainable.

  • Thanks for sharing! I remember this song. It wasn't used in the movie but it was played on the radio thank goodness.
