Trolls, hate,anger, jealousy.
That's basically the reason some people are saying she's "offensive" because she's a symbol of My Little Pony's connection with the bronies. Reasons like "it hurts my feelings as a disabled person" is just a cover up. You don't see Snail and Snip getting petitioned against.

Would someone explain to me what among this stuff is offensive to the mentally disabled? Most of this stuff is typical of the cartoon archetype of a klutz/accident-prone character.
On top of that, how is changing Derpy going to do any good for their cause? If anything, pulling down a character like Derpy, who's lovable because she screws up like this, is insulting since it means you want no image for the mentally handicapped rather than a positive image like the one she gives to the community.

The only thing that matters is our fandom has such a great influence that we were able to bring a fan-made character into the show. Whether they decide to remove her altogether or not, we will never forget our contribution. We should just brush this off and keep tolerating shit, because after all, that's what bronies do best!

@Artictoc Hopefully Derpy is only censored on I tune...... Her name from i hear is un-change in the DVD released. I still hope Hasbro didn"t change her her name in the future episodes. Changing her voice is one thing. But removing her name? It's a stab in the heart of the fandom.
