Forgot to mention that I am bleeding in a couple of places (just a bit each day) in spite of the fact that the platelets are only slightly below normal.
I am taking Cabergoline (Dostinex) to reduce the growth factor and this in turn is reducing my red blood platelets every week. They are below normal but not grossly yet; however, I have only been taking it for about 3 months and have about 9 to go. Should I be concerned at this point? If not, at what point should I consider discontinuing it (to shrink an adenoma?) Also when they are lowered, will they repair themselves once I stop taking the drug or will I have to rely on pills forever?
