A VIDEO appeal from the mum of Ricky Burlton is being released to help trace the man wanted in connection with her son's death.

The 20 year old, who is from Enfield, died following a road traffic collision which took place at around 2.30am on June 4, 2010 on the A10 southbound carriageway exit slip road at Hoddesdon. A man, who is known as Georgios Tsoulos, is believed to have been driving a white Rover at the time of the incident and is wanted for causing death whilst driving a vehicle whilst being an uninsured and unlicensed driver. At the time he had been living in Woodlands Road in Hertford.

On the day of the collision, Tsoulos was transferred from North Middlesex Hospital to Chase Farm Hospital in Enfield where he was treated for injuries to his face. On June 4 he was due to be transferred to Moorfields Hospital in London for further treatment to an eye injury. A friend of Georgios collected him from Chase Farm Hospital to transfer him to Moorfields and it was during this journey that he absconded. He has not been seen since.

Tsoulos is believed to be Albanian and living in the UK under a false Greek identity. Following the incident he sustained injuries to his face and needed stitches which run from the bridge of his nose, above and across his right eyebrow, on his right cheekbone and the right side of his nose. It is believed he will need further urgent treatment to his injuries.

There is also a Crimestoppers reward being offered of up to £1000 to anyone who has information leading to the arrest and charge of Georgios Tsoulos. Anyone with information should call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. There will be no ramifications as there is no chance you will be identified. Alternatively call the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit incident room on 01707 355666 or the police non-emergency number 0845 33 00 222.

  • RIP Ricky

    xxx

  • I really hope the police catch up with this man A.S.A.P. What I can not understand is why on earth was he allowed to go to another hospital on his own steam. I may be missing some of the facts but shouldn't he have had a police escort? Met/Herts police should be ashamed of themselves.

When the police do catch up with him, I hope he gets the sentence he deserves!

  • dawn you are an inspiration to everyone..i hope this evil selfish person is truly punished for his unforgiveable actions. RIP Ricky love always.

  • I hope justice catches up with this 'human' - any just reward 'Gergious Tsoulos' gets would be illegal in this country but Albania has a different kind of justice system. My heart goes out to Rickys family and friends. Why does it always seem to the wrong people who lose out?
