If he's Catholic, that's fine. I took offense to his " gay male lifestyle" comment. It seemed to imply a person could not live a moral life if they happen to be a gay male, which I happen to be. Often times those who make comments like his blame their moral decay on being gay. I'm sorry, but rampant drug use, bullshit, and promiscuous sex aren't caused by a person's sexual orientation. That's due to a person's weak moral fiber. And being gay isn't a lifestyle, hedonism is.

I think it's more accurate to say, at least in the United States, Christianity has a monopoly on the society. So, no, I don't think it's accurate in the least. This more or less seems to describe a yearning for faith in something, despite its obvious flaws. This could be religion, or it could be religion used as a metaphor in general for any given circumstance.

@ParanoiaGraveyard ...Yeah. It is nice. That someone out there has managed to live in christian culture, followed by a culture that is often very at odds with christianit, and still courage to still declare his faith/interest in being part of christian community, is amazing. I'm agnostic, but I recognize that peer pressure often makes people afraid to be christian. This song reflects the doubt religious-minded people must feel, and I think Adrians comment was totally justified and relevant.
