Getting to know Deepak Chopra. In this segment Dr. Chopra (interviewed by Cheryl Woodcock) discusses his history and evolution as a doctor and healer, as well as touching on religion, belief and the evolution of spirituality. They also discuss the state of our ecosystem, the current state of the US economy and what people can do to take care of themselves in tough times.

Good points.
Christ came to Earth to set people free from religious slavery. He didn't come here to start yet another dogmatic religion that would trap people in obedience instead of freeing them to directly experience God.
Yes, religion, like any other high-voltage power source, attracts power addicts. They plug into it like vampires and suck the life blood out of it, leaving only a political shell with all the spiritual essence gone.
Do you follow religion or spirituality?

I don't think that Jesus was a Christian or Buddha was in Buddhism. People adopted somebody else experience to create a believe or ideology around it to blindly follow.Not understanding to the end the knowledge they created something that is a MUST and then they started to fight which god is better and defend it, and new rulez that needs to be obeyed.. also new chapters and stories to convinced or force followers.. Mix money, power and control over pure wisdom and truth. Wake up ppl.

@eastariel What you saying mate you are comparing cartoons with religions? Every min someone dies or is punished because of not "right" love, not right "clothes", not right hair style and other bullcrap made and written by humans. You saying about good parts in religions IT IS NOT ENOUGH! Life is a endless variety of choices, ideas, behaves, needs, desires and religion are to ignorant, small minded and greedy of control to understand and give a solution to everyone.

@UndergroundSound7
Why don't you go over to Disney studios and tell them to stop the "fantastic characters, happenings and gods, gurus etc."
I hope they don't, however. Because there's a lot of truth in fairy tales.
Do you know the story of Hansel and Gretel? It's historical fiction, carefully crafted to protect the author from persecution while speaking the truth that needed to be heard.

@eastariel religion is not the answer in solving anything. We need to stop made up stories and teach ppl them only start say the truth loud without any fantastic characters, happenings and gods, gurus etc. But are ppl ready for that? Cos I know some that would prefer to kill then listen and try to understand. Cos it is not easy at the moment.

Some people have used religion as a weapon.
I wish to see it as a solution.
How can we mobilize religions to meet their deepest purpose -- to help us grow spiritually through loving actions? Our world needs millions of people to express the foundation of all religions -- love.
Love is the only power strong enough to save our world.
