Boost is dropped down low to only .7bar until I get this sorted out, rather than .8 during the Summer months, but all problems existed at .8 as well, and .9 in the Winter months.
So, my AF ratio seems to bounce around while holding the throttle stationary. Is this truly an issue with maps? I've been told by two independent people that my maps are messed up, but the maps were setup by RP in Dallas. My maps don't seem to fluctuate with the data according to my PowerFC. Does my 1v output into the PowerFC need to be adjusted?
The injector duty doesn't seem to move much in relation to the AF Ratio. And, as I said, when viewing the map data in the PFC Commander, it doesn't vary drastically. What's going on here? I can feel it lurch very, very slightly as it varies, so it's not an error with the display.
Innovate XD-16 with LC-1; Apexi PowerFC; have FC Datalogit, but not very familiar and can't get access to the yahoo group. Boost is set low to 0.7bar and 0.65bar on the PowerFC until I can get this all sorted out so my mileage improves and I know heat will be under control; normally I like to run at .9/.85 in the Winter and .8/.75 in the Summer.
I've tweaked it a bit so it doesn't die during cold starts (was too lean) or isn't overly rich under boost (was too rich at 9.5-10.5), but the bouncing AFR remains despite the changes.
I won't bother listing other modifications which don't play a part in this situation of understand WHAT the problem is, not what values I need to change based upon modifications--that comes next. Unless you're in Austin and know the rotary, then please get in touch with me. I lost the guy's number I saw in the HEB parking lot in November of 2010--he had a 93 or 94 blue (I think?) RX-7.
