try the 24-70mm 2.8 which was announced with the D700, or the 14-24mm 2.8, the 24mm 1.4, or the 35mm 1.4!!!! the 50mm 1.4G is also very good!

awesome camera paired with an awesome lens... pricey but really good ;)

@satp100geforce have to agree, i'm still deciding between d700 or canon 60d. 5d too expensive. lense wise nikon is outrageous. 70-200mm shitttt, i can buy three canon L lenses for the price of 1 nikon. I prefer nikon cameras as they are more ergonomic, canon has more affordable quality lenses.

@satp100geforce It really doesn't matter which lenses are "better". The price difference isn't much considering the fact that you are going to be spending 2k+ on a camera body anyways. It comes down to whether or not you prefer canon or nikon.
