France: Roma not Welcome | European Journal

French President Nikolas Sarkozy has announced drastic measures against the Roma and Sinti minorities. He wants all illegal camps closed within three months, and Roma without legal papers are set to be deported.Opposition parties and human rights groups have criticized the move, labeling it xenophobic and racist. Sarkozy's policy turnaround was prompted by recent clashes between Roma and the police in Brittany, where a Roma youth was shot while fleeing from a police traffic spot check. Later, a group of angry Roma vandalized the local police station. Some believe Sarkozy is using the issue to divert public attention away from the tax and donations scandal involving L'Oréal heir Liliane Bettencourt.

Well done France .Europe must now have the guts to follow you and stop all this mass immigration from all parts of the world .The politicians in Brussels do not represent any popular opinion of people in any European country ,but as usual they inflict their hidden agenda's upon us and call us racist if we dear to utter a complaint. As Mr Gordon Brown found out when pensioner Mrs Duffy raised the question of mass immigration in Uk, when safely in his car he let loose ,calling her a racist !!

Lets be straight about this. Uk has many people from different countries who come to live here. Some are an asset, they work hard , dont cause problems , integrate and get on well with everyone. The reason that romanians are not liked is that the ones that do come here are mostly here for benifts, fraud, begging etc and with the roma stealing and making themselves a damn nuisance.

That was an old comment by myself. The problem is that in Uk as shown on the tv recently, is that you have people in charge of romanian beggars with many children involved. These people go round with the children begging and pleading poverty . When the people were followed back to Romainia it was found that these roma people had big mansions, bmw cars etc. When confonted they got violent that their money making scams had been exposed to show them as just greedy liars.

Governments should give a powerful signal to newcomers what the law is in their country. It is not allowed to build houses wherever you want and live wherever you want. I've never seen any other immigrant group do such a thing. In Amsterdam there are gypsies who are begging (never seen them before EU!) and children have to play music and are not going to school (child labour). Same counts for Berlin, there are a lot of kids begging there. Great future awaits them...
