The Egyptian Student Association, Purdue University, hosted on March 9th 2011 a talk, "The Egyptian Revolution: An Eye Witness Account" by our invited speaker, Mr. Ahmed Rehab.

The revolution started on January 25th, and resulted in the ousting of Mubarak on February 11th, and most recently, the appointment of a Purdue Alum as Prime Minister on March 3rd. While US media coverage of the event peaked during early February, there has been little coverage at the beginning of the revolution and after the ousting of Mubarak. Our speaker,
Mr. Rehab, an Egyptian-American activist, was on the ground before the start of the revolution, and will give a first-hand account of what happened, as well as his opinion on the aftermath of the revolution.

Rehab is a regular contributor to the Chicago Tribune, the Huffington Post,
and CNN.com, his Op-Eds have been published in numerous newspapers around the country, and he has been interviewed numerous times by the Chicago Sun-Times, the Daily Herald, the Washington Post, the Orlando Sentinel, the Economist, the Boston Globe, Crain's Business Magazine, the Chicago Tribune, Germany's Die Zeit, and many more.
