(Demi's POV)
I pulled on a pair of black skinny jeans and a loose, off the shoulder black top. I grabbed my own black leather boots that were resting in front of her bedroom door and slid them on before running into the bathroom to pull on a few gold necklaces and black bracelets. I wore only eyeliner and mascara and I put my hair in a pony tail, leaving my bangs down. There was no reason to pile on makeup and style my hair because I would have to get both done professionally anyway before the music video taping. Today a few of us were going to Malibu to shoot a music video for Disney. It's something environmentally friendly thing that we were promoting, we had already recorded the song and everything but we had yet to film.
"Oh, good, you're ready." Miley said, coming back into her bedroom with a bowl of cereal in her hands. "Wanna bite?" She asked.
"Sure." I answered, she held out the spoon of oatmeal and I made a grimacing face. "I take that back." I hate oatmeal, a lot. The texture, the taste, the smell, everything. Yuck.
She rolled her eyes and set the bowl on her desk top. "Kay, let's go?" I nodded and grabbed my favorite black Prada bag before heading out with her. It was the only expensive bag I owned because frankly, it matched everything and I really didn't need to waste money on buying more, so I carried this one around everywhere. Even when I go to places like 7-11, I always have to have my bag with me, it's basically stuffed full of random things, from gum to mascara to socks. You never know when you're going to hit the bowling alleys. I silently laughed to myself as I thought of how rediculous that sounded as we both piled into the black Range Rover that would take us down to Malibu. Miley lifted an eyebrow at me due to my sudden, pointless giggle and I looked down at my hands embarrassed.
"So, is it going to be awkward?" I asked Miley.
"Is what going to be awkward?" She replied nonchalantly although I knew she knew what I was talking about.
"Oh, don't give me that. You and Nick haven't talked in months, not since he started dating Selena, and now they're over so isn't it going to be awkward?" I clarified.
"Maybe for him since he'll be with his two ex-girlfriends. But i'm perfectly fine, if he wants to continue our nonexistent friendship the way it has been for the past few months, so be it because I'm perfectly fine without him, I have Justin, so I'm perfectly fine." I raised both my eyebrows at her.
"You just said 'perfectly fine' three times in one sentence, Miles."
"Yes, because I am." I scunched up my face at her and nodded.
"Mhm, sure." She rolled her eyes at me playfully and slapped my leg lightly. We were both tired, it was only six in the morning, so we decided to put down our seats in the van and take a nap. A couple of hours later and we were pulling into a huge beach house. I shot up out of my seat, another nightmare, and again I couldn't remember what it was about.
"Morning, sunshine." Miley said with a huge smile on her face.
"How long have you been awake?" I asked. She pressed the end button on her BlackBerry and looked back up at me after it lit up.
"Ten minutes. It's 8:30 and we're here so get a move on." I pulled the lever to lift my seat back up and we grabbed our bags before walking up to the door of the huge mansion. "Are we taping indoors...?" Miley asked me curiously as she looked around the outside of the house.
"Doubt it, maybe there's something out bac-" I was interuppted on the last word of my sentence by a door swinging open. A curly headed young man smiled at us and put his arm out to us.
"You're here!" He said to the two of us and we both hugged him at the same time.
