  • Thunar allowed you to open a file as root, which was a massive helper to me for software installation, but since version 0.93 (I think I went from .90 to .93...) you can't do that any more. Any idea how to get that back besides removing it and installing an older package?

  • Or you could do

    sudo passwd

    to set the password.

  • sudo -s

    is faster.
