I was born to a muslim ,Palestinian dad and, I was raised believing Jesus was a prophet,but at the age of 40 I received Jesus as my Savior. I used to hate the jewish people because of the arab/israeli conflict. But after I fell in love with this jew ,there's no more room in my heart for other feeling than love. My dad is 80 years old,he goes to church with me sometimes and last week he went to a Christian band concert! I know that God is working in his heart and that he'll be saved!

I am a Muslim and I do love both Jesus and Muhammad (peace be upon them). But I believe that Jesus is not God because he didn't claim himself as a God. He was just a prophet sent by the almighty God.

@ChaldeanDavid My comment only shows the history of the original melody and it's different uses.Particularly, I know lebanese singeress Fairuz since 1971 during my medicine studies when a lebanese friend of mine, a nephew of Lebanon ambassador in France made me discovered her. The greek singeress Savina Yannatou performed so with two others foreign singers a very talented version in Greek, Spanish and Arabic (Wa Habibi)
