@blite13 many masons were in places of power indeed, but not because masonry, or at least the ones who stayed pure to the philosophy of masonry, there were bad elements off course, like any social context, but we do need to make distinction, if not we are too generalistic.

Scottish rite has the top because that's where the modern freemasonry was developed.
