Well, melancholic is not enough in some of his paintings, I am sure I would find his biography very interesting. An exceptional artist though, and I have to admit that I didn't know him... Thank you!

I am pretty much sucked in by the desolate, bleak atmosphere of both the paintings and the music. Grimshaw and Schikaneder were indeed very related in their view of the world.
