yes, its true. The faa pretty much shuts down all acivity at o"hare and about 30 miles surrounding the airport

CAPT:I think you need to check your records.Bush used AF1 more than Obama.But I think whoever is the President needs and deserves protection and the use of this jet.Would you want him on a United flight and something happen.That is stupid.Thank God AF1 was there for Bush to use.Idiot that he is ,he was still President and safe on Sept 11.

@dbn52 - you are right, it should be equal for every president. However, some presidents use these tools for personal reasons more than others. I personally would like to see ALL private use of government and military assets ceased immediately. If Obama is the president at the moment then my problem is with him, the same way I had a beef with Bush and especially Clinton.Difference is that Obama's use far exceeds the other presidents. No special treatment, just equality - he should be ashamed

@itsjustme2919 Actually only Military aircraft get the Air Force One sign. If he was on a Navy plane it would be called Navy One. If the pres is on a commercial or a non military flight is it call signed Executive One.

i was just wondering but when I was getting ready to get onto my flight from puerto vallarta to ohare I took a pic of the plane and a security guard said not to do that. Any idea why?
