@KingHaggis the body side moulding on a c-5 was a 125 option my sticker says. Iv like the moulding (why i ordered on car new) my vette is a 2002 , so wrong about early c-5s getting the moulding . Any could be ordered that way. Yes the c-5 looks better than c-6 , as a matter of fact the c-5 looks like the newer vette . Maybee , the c-7 i will like.

@MovieMakerKeith no. it's just an option that was always available.
-
@toy4jay yeah, I know that now too. It seemed to be an option. That means my Vette has all the options including door mold :-D
If that means anything... most people seem not to like it. I like it though but I don't really care much for it. Either way, C5's look great!

@KingHaggis : I know the question is very old but let me answer it anyway. I believe it (door mold) was a dealer option. You can still buy it from the after market and put it on yourself. My vette is 02 and mind doesn't have it.

@6irondriver yeah, i found that out too. I kinda like the moulding on my Corvette. Makes it a bit more detailed :-)

@KingHaggis I have a 2001, the moulding was an option I happen to have 'cause I was 2nd owner. I like it smooth but the line has grown on me. It was actually a "pay for" option believe it or not.

ОЧЕНЬ ЗДОРОВО ЛУЧШЕ НЕ БЫВАЕТ

I have a 97 C5, and has no "doorline"

Kieth, awsome job on this video !!!! I see towards the end a shot of Mt Hood in Oregon, are you from the NW? Awsome choice on the music also.
I've always wondered why some C5's have a line in the door and some don't. English isn't my native language so I can't explain it very good but I hope you understand. Can anybody tell me why some C5's have that extra "doorline" and some don't?
I.E.: the Z06 at 2:45 clearly has it and the yellow Vette at 2:47 doesn't.
My '99 Coupe has it too. Nice vid by the way. Makes me want to drive my Vette even more.

I think it was a bodystyle cue that was used in the earlier C5's that was dropped later on (year 2000) I believe. Similar to the split window '63 coupe
