  • Once the bottom of the egg has set, I add a tablespoon of water to the pan cover for 30 seconds. The steam will set the top of the egg perfectly and the water will help release the egg from the bottom of the pan. 30 more seconds without the lid to let the water evaporate and I have a perfect fried egg...Without the gross burnt to death bottom shown above.

  • IT. IS. BURNT.

  • I don't need Obi Wan to confirm that that is not the egg i'm looking for.

  • Go to 0:25 for a good laugh.

  • Put the lid on at the beginning and you wont burn the piss out of the egg. How hard is that?

  • hahaha there is no way this is real

  • YOU DONKEY

  • lets burn shit on tv.

  • The correct way to deal with such a problem is to carefully splash the hot cooking oil on top of the egg. during the cooking process. That will cook the top of the egg without flipping it.

  • @BoredinTo DO NOT MIX WATER WITH HOT OIL

  • It's probably just those thin side bits that are burnt, they tend to crisp easily. The bottom might be egg perfection for all you know.
