It's available online for free, if you know where to look. Hopefully they'll eventually release it on commercial DVD as well!

Yes, it is. You can download it as a torrent and do the burning job yourself if you know how and are willing to spend hours burning all episodes. But it will NOT be available on DVD's for a very long time yet. I have been in contact with Albert S. Ruddy Productions and MGM Television and they say that as long as Mr. James Arness are alive the series will not be on DVD's. So maybe in 10-15 years from now it will be official available.

I found this on the net and now have it in my Collection of DVDs kinda Pricey but was worth the money. Now I found it listed on the site called IOFFER.

@macahansfan Sadly, macahansfan...Mr. Arness has passed. Would that we DID have to wait 15 years, rather than merely 2! :(

But perhaps this series will now become available, & we fans can honor Mr. Arness with the purchase & viewing of the DVDs...& pass our love of this show & his acting on to our children & grandchildren!! :)

Maybe it´s the sober attitude of the series, without all the preaching of other western series, that made it such a hit in Scandinavia. American`s maybe prefer the "Bonanza"-approach?

Apart from gliding into these morality lectures in the last seasons, like Rawhide and Bonanza, the Macahans is without a doubt the best western series to date. I just wish it wouldn`t end so abruptly. Too many loose ends.
