This is part of a large flock of cedar waxwings hanging out in my neighborhood. The birds are drinking from a puddle on the roof of an apartment building next to mine.

  • Thanks! We don't have those down here in Louisiana. Beautiful!

  • a waxwing chick once fell out of a tree right outside my house!

  • Love these birds!! Beautiful! Thanks for posting!!

  • awww... so sweet!

  • I found two Cedar Waxwings baby birds today, in my backyard lol!

    There so cute and playful!

  • @drdichro If you see a flock of robins, look among them for smaller birds. Cedar waxwings like to hang out with robins.

  • look at all of them!!! I only get 2 a year (thank God i get that many!!)

  • oh i remember when i saw some siting( and eating :3 ) on my mulberry bush .. i watched it for as long as i could , cause i knew how rare it was to see them in person

  • I love these birds. They;re so darling. <3

  • Oh they're beautiful! They're so elegant. My favorite description is of Suzie Gilbert in her book "Fly Away." I think she describes one as a Japanese Emperor dressed in robes and a colorful mask.
