How can you say anyone can due this different people are good at writing types of music and why does everything have to be melodic Origin, Cannibal Corpse, Immortal, Decapitated, Brain Drill, Cattle Decapitation, Gorguts arent melodic styled bands but still awesome and musical

@patrickjamesfitzroy And there are still quite a few metal bands who are melodic and downright awesome - Kiuas, Kalmah, Children of Bodom, Lamb of God, Iced Earth, Dimmu Borgir and Therion, to name a few. But I agree with you that there are a lot of pathetic excuses for metal, like Misery Index, who just sound like noise... The metal I know and love is about more than this.

However, the drummer doesn't sound TOO bad :P

@IntegralxBirth3 basically, metal when it first began featured a lot of writing techniques that not everyone could do; the music was melodic and diverse in itself, and unfortunately, due to an eruption of terribly shit bands "aka. Misery Index", now anyone who can play Drop C and make the same noises as a person cutting open a pig whilst it's still alive can be in a multitude of "styles" of different metal bands. It all sounds the same, it requires little skill and it sounds very bad. Explained.
