basically a good debate between Conway and the Teacher. I agree with the teacher 100% although I am still a fan of the TCJ show on KFI AM 640.
Everyone deserves public education, legal or illegal, no to vouchers and no to private schools ! Every kid regardless of economic status deserves a good education, free healthcare, and hope for the future ! To fix the system, eliminate the district office, give the power back to the principals and teachers. No to statewide testing, it's a scam ! I've heard Jed Bush owns the company who makes the tests and is just trying to make a buck ! Why do you think the USA was the worlds leader ? It was the great investment we made in our country thanks to FDR's reforms ! Ever since the last 28 years, Bush to Bush, it's been all down hill, we've sold out our manufacturing overseas for short term profits, we've ruined healthcare and education, for what, a few people to live like kings, who cheated and changed the rules in the middle of the game. Hopefully Obama will spend his second term fixing these mistakes from Reagan, Bush, and Clinton and setup a FDR style game plan for our future ! Conway, you are not paying for her healthcare, wrong ! Teachers salaries are horrible, just open your ears and listen to this caller, she is right on !

this woman is clueless: 1) your copay isn't determined by your HEALTH and 2) you pay no health care PREMIUM. Not a knock on teachers - many of my own family are public teachers and they have my full respect, but I'm tired of this argument that they think they're the only people who "work hard." Give me a break... step into my shoes one day. My family healthcare premium is $600 a month; my wife and I both work difficult, demanding jobs and we don't get 180 days a year off.

Its NOT the teacher's fault if they do whatever they can and a student still doesnt give a damn about his/her education. its not teacher's fault if parents dont give a damn about their kid's grades, and dont demand more of them...add in limited resources, large class sizes (which are harder to manage) and what do expect will happen? a schools API index suffers, and its always easier to blame the teachers rather than make the effort to remedy all underlying causes

many reasons for the ed system being the way it is, one of which IS lousy teachers...but nobody understands that there are MANY different reasons that kids dont get the grades they are capable of..instead they find it easiers to blame ALL the teachers and only them. i will admit that this lady is pretty annoying, but if there are many teachers calling, who are they going to pick to put on? the one that can hold an intelligent dialogue?

I don't want to put down teachers and public employees but this teacher is delusional. She loves to brag about her two master degrees and that she isn't getting paid what she deserves, she should leave just leave find a higher paying job. Also where does she think the money for her pay check comes from? Answer tax payers.
