At the Hofburg Imperial Palace in Vienna,Wien,Austria,Europe,you can see the most important Tresure Chamber in the world.Since 1912 the treasure collection is a part of the Hofburg Museum's Collections.Here you can see the Imperial Regalia (Reichskleinodien) of the Holy Roman Empire which is the only completely preserved regalia from the Middle Ages.This Imperial Regalia were kept in Nuremberg from 1424 to 1796 so are called the Nuremberg Jewels.In this video you can see the Holy Lance also known as the Spear of Destiny,Holy Spear,Lance of Longinus,Spear of Longinus,Lance of Saint Maurice or Spear of Christ.It is the name given to the spear that pierced Jesus's side as he hung on the Crucifixion Cross.This Holy Lance was attested in posesion of the Holy Roman Empire from the times of Emperor Otto I (912-973).In 1084 Emperor Henry IV added on the Holy Lance a silver band with the inscription "Nail of Our Lord" based on the beliefe that this was the lance of Constantine the Great which enshrined a nail used for the Crucifixion.Around 1350 Emperor Charles IV had a golden sleeve put over the silver one, inscribed "Lancea et clabus Domini" (Lance and nail of the Lord).In 1424 Emperor Sigismund of Luxemburg put the Imperial Regalia ,including Holy Lance,in the city of Nuremberg and were here until 1796 when the French Army of Napoleon approached and the Imperial Regalia were secured to Vienna.The Holy Lance was never in posesion of Napoleon Bonaparte.
During the Hitler Anschluss over Austria,when Austria was annexed to Germany,the Holy Lance and Imperial Regalia were returned to Nuremberg and afterwards hidden by SS.They were found by invading U.S. troups and returned to Austria by american general George S. Patton after the victory in World War II.It remains after that at Hofburg Treasure Chamber (Schatzkammer).The Holy Lance of Destiny has one old reputation of a talisman of power.Generations of conquerors of the world became fascinated by the Holy Lance and it's history,based on the belief that who ownes this lance held destiny of the world in his hands.It is also a belief that the Holy Lance has a mystical connection with the destiny of the world and is full of mysterious "powers".I am also fascinated by this amazing Holy Lance of Destiny and I admire it.All the legends about Constantine the Great,Charlemagne,Napoleon,Hitler and the Holy Lance make me to say that this is the most famous weapon from the world.And also is one of the most famous historical artefacts of the world.

@vladimirluvzcookies itdor answer - Yes,the Holy Lance artefact from the Treasure Chamber (Schatzkammer) at Hofburg Imperial Palace in Vienna,Austria, is made of several steeel,silver and gold parts.It is not in one piece.But all this parts of the Holy Lance were added during long time on this artefact.And every part has it's own story. Anyway this historical artefact full of legends had a special visual power upon me when I saw it in the Treasure Chamber. No other comment !

@wookeye itdor answer -The Holy Lance of Destiny has several parts:-The split spear which has a pin inside.Spectral analysis found that the pin CAN be a nail from 1th century.No organic remains were found on the pin,so DNA tests or analysis are imposible,also carbon 14 analysis.I say that this pin can be a PILUM,a type of ancient roman army spear used by Roman Legionary (...Longinus).The silver part was added by emperor Henry III.The gold part(Lancea et clavus Domini)was added by Charles IV.

@itdor yes but its not a lance which was stuck into jesus. the methal is from the 5 hundrets under karl the great or such as. and the gold was produced a few hundret years later. they analyzed it, so it must be the real one

@wookeye itdor answer - I saw also a documentary on History Ch. about the Holy Lance.I am very interested by the Holy Lance of Destiny and the legends about it. During my life I have read a lot of books about history and about the Holy Lance.I also was at the Treasure Chamber (Schatzkammer) from the Hofburg Palace Museum at Vienna,Austria, to see with my eyes the Holy Lance from there.I don't discuss about it is the real one or not,I can only say that when I saw it I was in a magic attraction.

@itdor sorry to tell you this it is a fake i researched it and the actual spear had the tip broken off and adolf hitler had it sent to antartica but the submarine it was on sunk off the shore of florida and the same day hitler killed himself
