Martin Mars "Up Close"

In the summer of 2008, the Hawaii Mars was temporarily stationed for two weeks at Lake Oroville Ca. on "Stand By" to fight the fires that were burning all across Northern California at the time. After asking the flight crew for permission to circle the plane in my kyack and take a few shots of it up close. They said "No problem". The crew only stipulated that I did'nt actually touch the plane. They were nice and said to as much fun as I wanted, so I did. Enjoy.
