When I watch this, I see people trying to tug at my heart strings. But here's the thing. That's Japan. We have no right to intervene, UNLESS there's a species that is facing extinction.

Why do people try and save dolphins that are not endangered, but let other species such the Chinese giant salamander, gharial, and West Indian Ocean coelacanth become critically endangered? Is it because those animals are not appealing?

This is a matter of culture, and being racist and negative won't help.

@GnomesAmok whats your problem with me? all i said was no animal should suffer at hands of humans..all im saying is that animals need to hunt and the main reason is food..we do not need meat..i am very healthy without it..there are plenty of subsitutes and vitamins...anyway this is not what this video is about..this is about cruelty..so get off your moan and slander box and go annoy someone who deserves it..and grow up.

THIRDLY, so what is this about, saving an endangered animal, or being a vegan?? If this is a vegetarian cause, then you're argument goes right out the window. They are doing nothing illegal. The people of Japan have a right to eat whatever they want to eat, as long as its not harmful. Don't you get that? In America we slaughter cows, pigs, chickens, etc, Japan is an Island that subsists off fishing. You simply have no right to tell them they can't.

Sure, an animal cannot hunt for "sport" in the same way that we think of sport, but do you really think that an animal like a lion feels no "thrill of the hunt" doing what it does best, or when it catches its prey? And why shouldn't it, its hard work being a lion. SECONDLY, I don't "hurt animals for pleasure" either just because I eat meat. I eat certain animals to survive. Some people HAVE to eat meat
