Original included in the album Andy Gibb "After Dark" 1980.
Written by Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb 1978.
Original is an Andy Gibb lead vocal laid on a track recorded by the Bee Gees for the Spirits Having Flown album. For instrumental credits see that album in 1978. Any sense that Andy was channelling the Bee Gees rather than finding his own way would be confirmed here. "Desire" sounds a lot like "Too Much Heaven". This was Andy's last top ten hit in America, reaching number 4 in Billboard.

Been wanting to hear this for years but this does seem very basic.I had heard that their was an almost finished version by the Three Bee Gees which,as you say, they had intended to be on "Spirits".Surely this isn't that version?.What i have just heard has SO MUCH potential that the finished Andy gibb version doesn't really tap into.The BASS here,for example has a MUCH funkier feel to it and Barry's vocals,even on this DEMO, make far more of the song than Andy's finished lead actually did..
